Assistant Project Manager needed for our client in Manhattan.
My client, a growing project management and development firm is seeking to fill the role of Assistant Project Manager. Applicants should have education in project management, construction management, architecture or other related fields and 3 to 5 years of professional experience. The individual would work closely with Project Managers and other members of our team on a variety of both small and large projects. These projects range from small renovation projects for external clients to larger development projects we are leading. The day-to-day focus of the Assistant Project Manager will be document and deliverable preparation, daily interaction with vendors and consultants, onsite and offsite meeting attendance with clients and construction team, assist with budget management, and all other activities to ensure successful and timely completion of projects.

It is critical that the Assistant Project Manager is able to interact with our Project Managers and internal team. The role of Assistant Project Manager is expected to evolve with more responsibility and management relating to design teams, contractors, vendors, consultants, partners and owners. A desire to be heavily involved with all aspects of design and construction is required. Our firm takes full responsibility for the success of each project regardless of outside factors, the individual will need to share this perspective.
Applicants should have above average written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present themselves confidently in meetings. Additionally, the position requires a high level of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and, particularly, Excel). Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite are particularly valuable as well, as is knowledge of construction scheduling programs such as MS Projects.
